Sure, it would be easy for Solaris to make up an excuse, but there's just one small thing. There was a ring where normal civilians can't enter, and Solaris, caught up in the exhilaration during fighting, forgot there was a ring. Talin was a civilian, and therefore was forbidden to be in said ring. Oops.
“It’s a long story. He just followed after me.” Solaris responds. “Anyways, let’s go to the Singingmoon before the Magpies get there. Don’t want them to hog the jukebox.” Her face scrunched up disapprovingly at the thought.
“Solaris, shouldn't we…you know.” Duhe motions to Talin, staring at Solaris, waiting for her order. Solaris brings her hand to her chin, contemplating. Soon enough, she shrugs her shoulders.
“Who’ll believe that he saw the entirety of edelweiss in one spot at the same time?” Duhe tilts her head before nodding in agreement.
“Mmm, okay. It’s your head they’ll have though.”
“They wouldn’t dare lay a finger on me. I’m practically untouchable to the organization.” Solaris grins hauntingly. She moves from under the umbrella, before running back under. “It’s still raining!”
“Obviously.” Monsune mutters sarcastically.
“Do you want another flick to your head, Monsune?” Duhe warns, raising her fingers, poised to strike. Solaris laughs happily. Duhe and Monsune stop their bickering and stare at Solaris with gaping mouths.
“What? Is there something on my face?”
“No! It’s just…..we’ve never seen you laugh before. Smile sure, but laugh? Not in a million years. Gods, I didn’t even think you could laugh.” Monsune said, staring at Solaris with stars in his eyes. Solaris gives him a confused side eye. Does she really never laugh? She can name a few occurrences off the top of her head.
“Well, if you want another one, then hurry up! Singingmoon is singing to me!” Solaris starts running through the rain, laughing as she runs through the puddles. Monsune rolls his eyes, watching his supposed idol splash puddles like a child.
“Told you. child at heart.” Monsune grumbles, walking with his hands in his pockets, trying to ignore the shouts from Solaris to come join her. Duhe stares at the two in awe, eyes widened and a large grin plastered on her face. It reaches her eyes as she lets out a chuckle before running to catch up with them.
