ABLOY PROMOTES FIRE DOOR COMPLIANCE WITH INFOGRAPHIC
To mark the Fire Door Safety Week this September 2018, security expert Abloy UK has highlighted alarming statistics in an infographic, showing an increase in the number of fires and fatalities and decrease in fire safety audits.
 »»
THE INFOGRAPHIC FEATURES brand new information from the Home Office released earlier this year, including fire and rescue incident statistics, and fire prevention and protection statistics.
Pat Jefferies, Commercial Director at Abloy UK, said:“ Abloy is a big Fire Door Safety Week supporter and we promote the crucial importance of fire doors in saving lives and protecting property – not just during the initiative but all year round.
‘ no margin for error’
“ Our infographic features some worrying figures, with an increase in the number of fires and associated injuries and fatalities. What’ s more, the research shows there are fewer fire safety audits being carried out, with nearly a third of those audited deemed unsatisfactory.
“ When it comes to fire door safety there is no margin for error, and noncompliance can lead to the substantial fines, custodial sentences, and most critically the loss of life.”
