to exhibit at the very first
Lockex exhibition. Robert
Vaughan, technical manager
and Karl Williamson, area
sales manager were on hand
all weekend to meet and
greet visitors.
Window Ware’s aim at
the show was to display its

Strand, ISEO, Securistyle,
Trojan, Hoppe, MACO, Yale,

@windowware, where
a member of Window
Ware’s experience staff
will identify or source a
replacement depending on
requirements.
The repair and remedial
range has been designed
with Locksmiths and repair
companies in mind. The
flexible and like for like
products have been carefully
selected to help save time
and money by allowing the
repair to be completed in
just one visit. In addition,
Window Ware displayed a
selection of Xpert tools and
Winbag from Glazpart.
Window Ware’s Technical

said: “The show gave us
the opportunity to display
our wide range of flexible
and like for like repair and
remedial products. It was
great speaking to existing

discussing the breadth of our
range whilst meeting many
of the customers who have
utilised our expertise when
seeking advice regarding a
variety of solutions.”

YALE CELEBRATES
SUCCESSFUL LOCKEX
»»THIS YEAR’S LOCKEX 2016
show has been a resounding
success for Yale, with
Locksmiths visiting stand 56
to get a hands-on experience
of the latest products from the
security specialists.
Stephen Roberts, Marketing
Manager for Yale, comments:
“We would like to thank
everyone who visited our
stand at Lockex 2016. As part
of the ASSA ABLOY group, we
were proud sponsors of the
show and it provided a great
opportunity to meet with lots of
new and existing customers.
“We showcased a range
of our products, including
our smart locks, which give
homeowners the freedom to
secure their home without
the need to carry keys. Neil
Vann, UK MD of ASSA ABLOY,
officially opened the show
and also delivered a keynote
speech, where he talked
about changes and trends
in the market, with particular
emphasis on how locksmiths
can capitalise on the move
from mechanical to smart
security products.”
Products on display included
the Yale PAS 3261 Doormaster™
– the first retrofit multipoint lock
LOCKSMITHJOURNAL.CO.UK | SEP/OCT 2016
in the market that allows users
to maintain accreditation on
existing PAS 24 doors, without
needing to fit exactly the same
lock as was supplied with the
door.
PAS 3621 is now specified
as the benchmark standard
for multipoint locks in The
Building Regulations’ Approved
Document Q, mirroring the BS
3621 standard for locks fitted
to external wooden doors.
This gives a distinct advantage
to locksmiths, as a suitable
replacement can be fitted on
an initial visit from a small range
of van stock, as opposed to
ordering a lock and repeating
the visit at a later date to
complete the installation.
Another innovative security
solution showcased at the
show was the Yale Platinum
3 Star Cylinder. This product
has been designed to
provide superior strength
against known cylinder attack
methods, enabling locksmiths
to provide their customers with
a robust security offering that
doesn’t break the bank and
can be easily fitted in a matter
of minutes.
