SHOWREVIEW
GROWTH FOR AUTO LOCKSMITH
»»FAMILY BUSINESS 3D GROUP IS
having a busy time. The company is testing
a whole host of new parts and tools, and
decided to exhibit at Lockex as part of its
strategy to increase its presence at trade
shows. Also, the business is soon to launch
a new website which has been a year and
a half in the making.
The company has over 30 years of
experience in the locksmith trade and
evolved from humble beginnings as a
household key cutters and shoe repair
shop in Mapperley, Nottingham.
Over time it began to offer a
replacement vehicle keys service from
the shop, and it was at this point that the
business discovered how difficult it was
to purchase good quality auto locksmith
parts and tools at a reasonable price.
Seeing a niche in the market, the family
started its own wholesale business from
the shop premises in 2007. Since then
it has seen massive growth. It now has
purpose-built premises including offices
and a warehouse to house its 30 plus
members of staff and the thousands of
product lines it now stocks.
The business offers genuine vehicle
remotes, key blanks, transponder chips,
vehicle entry tools and key cutting and
programming machinery. 3D Group
still has its shoe repair shop and mobile
auto locksmith service that covers the
Nottinghamshire area. However, it now
supplies auto locksmiths worldwide.
3D Group stocks a wide range of tools
and machinery and its technicians
have experience of using every
product in real-life situations.
The technicians are happy to
share their knowledge with
auto locksmiths and offer
bespoke training packages to
suit individual needs. Whether
you need training on a specific machine
that you already own, or you are having
trouble with a particular make or model
of vehicle, 3D Group technicians can
provide you with the training you need to
confidently tackle those tricky jobs. Prices
for bespoke training start at
£300 per day.
All training is based at the
Nottingham headquarters and the
price includes drinks and a hot lunch.
The business can provide training for an
individual or a group from a company.
