with many plans and ideas to further develop their ironmongery products and attract new customers , wherever they may be .
However Pickard ’ s are keen to keep their feet on the ground and maintain relationships with their home community in West Yorkshire as , despite selling internationally , they still value their local customers and operate a busy on-site store for retail as well as trade customers .
“ Our huge warehouse in Keighley , West Yorkshire is open to the public and is packed with any and every possible type of door or window hardware you can imagine . It really is an Aladdin ’ s Cave with a unique range of knobs and knockers !” laughs Dale .
This year the company has made a special push to try and reignite their connection with the local community by supporting charities such as the local shed project . The Lion ’ s Den Shed based in Keighley supports people suffering with loneliness , unemployment or mental health issues by teaching them practical skills or giving them the opportunity to teach others , be it in woodwork , metalwork , glass blowing or even singing !
What ’ s clear is that John Pickard has left a fantastic legacy which Dale and the team are set to continue to provide high quality hardware alongside first class customer service for many years to come .
