FUHR gearing is fully concealed , fitted within the eurogroove , as with other multipoint door locks . The advantage is that the locking mechanism can ’ t be tampered with when the door is closed .
Strand ANTIPANIC gearing is face fixed to the door , ideal for installations which are factory and / or retrofitted and interference from the inside isn ’ t a concern .
Eurogroove hardware Locking mechanism is concealed into the sash of the door , fitted within the eurogroove of the profile . Only visible hardware is the emergency exit device .
Complementary hardware
Tested as a set to ensure compliance
Compliance can not be ensured unless you select hardware which has been tested as a full set . This includes the locking mechanism , panic / emergency exit device , outside access and cylinder .
BS EN 179 = Emergency exit Applies to non-public buildings where potential users have been fully trained on how to use the door .
e . g . private business premises
Face Fix hardware Fix Locking mechanism is fitted to the face of the door sash . The locking mechanism and emergency exit device are visible .
BS EN 1125 = Panic exit Applies to public buildings or other premises where occupants may not be familiar with exit routes and hardware devices .
