important documents or sentimental

Whilst the majority of customers tend to
be individual home owners looking for a
straight forward safe that meets insurance
requirements, there are also a wide array
of retailers and businesses looking for
safes and other security solutions from
their local locksmith.
To realise the potential of this growing
marketplace, locksmiths need safes that
are easy to sell, at a price that gives a good
return, to customers who are happy with
the product and its installation. As Europe’s

Most customers will have a vague idea
about the size and rating of safe they need,
and will be looking for a model that meet
the certified insurance requirements set
by their insurer. Recently launched at
this year’s MLA show, Burg-Wächter’s
new range of Magno safes feature an
emergency locking system and door with
additional armour. Combined with large
25mm locking bolts on three sides, these
contribute towards the Magno safe’s
independently certified Eurograde 0/N
rating (ECB.S EN 1143-1). This means
Magno safes offer an AiS approved rating
for up to £6,000 cash or £60,000 valuables,
making them ideal for most customers,
whether they’re home owners or retailers.
Magno safes offer a choice of two
locking systems, both of which are VdS
tested and ECB.S certified. The Version
S models feature a traditional key
mechanism, with an armoured double-
bit lock. Version E models come with
a VdS rated programmable electronic
combination lock. Two convenient sizes
of Magno safe are available, both of which
easily accommodate A4 documents, whilst
an internal shelf enables better space
utilisation. Weighing in at a minimum
of 60kg, Magno safes come prepared for
anchoring via the back wall to ensure they
stay securely at the heart of the home/
business.
