THE CE24V FROM UNION IS A new door closer that helps you to deliver , maintain and improve fire door safety . Launched recently , this is the first in a new range of door closers that aims to not just maintain a fire door but upgrade it too , with features not always found on other brands .
The CE24V comes complete with everything you need to complete an installation , with simple instructions and all the fixings and specialist tools included . The model is a straightforward retro fit for other door closer such as the Briton 1100 , leaving no exposed holes that might impact on the fire certification of the door itself . And like other UNION door closer , the CE24V is CE marked for all 3 main positions ; regular , parallel and transom . In fact , the unit is CE Marked for variable power 2 – 4 , making it a highly versatile door closer suitable for a variety of doors up to 1100mm width in a variety of applications .
Once installed the CE24V really shows its abilities . The model features independent variable power and latching speed , giving you a high degree of customisation in making a fire door operate smoothly and effortlessly and meet the requirement of the Equality Act .

The CE24V stops your fire doors crashing into nearby walls or people , thanks to the adjustable backcheck that controls the door while it is being opened . The backcheck cuts in when a fire door is opened to 75 °, preventing damage to nearby walls or furniture and helping to prevent injury to anyone standing close to the door .
Holding replacements or parts for multiple door closers can take up much needed shelf space , or waste your time trying to find stockists for different models . Upgrading and standardising to CE24V makes life so much simpler . Installing the CE24V as standard helps you reduce the range of replacement door closers you need to keep in stock , and makes it much easier to get a replacement – you just have one door closer model to source .
