Aldridge : Play it by the book
When Aldridge Security is in town it’s not so much a case of what’s
new but just how much is new – and how much is available?
» » THEY’VE NOT EARNED THE TITLE OF
the UK’s largest security wholesaler
through sitting on their hands and their
latest 800-page Multi Point & UPVC
repair catalogue available at MLA
Expo 17 showed once again just how
committed they are to the sector.
“We are always bringing new products
into our range we offer,’ said marketing
manager ,Paul Durrant. “We manufacture
under our own brands Asec and
Chameleon as everyone knows - but we
also push everyone else’s brand. We
have 20,000 product lines available for
next day despatch and our new product
brochure is crammed with everything
we’ve produced or sourced in the past
six months.
‘Easy retro fit products for PVCu
customers are in demand. We produce
CLASSICPRO AND
ECLIQ: MUL-T-LOCK’S
KEY TO ADVANCEMENT
Innovation in high security
locking solutions has seen Mul-T-
Lock become one of the market
leaders in cylinders within each
platform and with not one, but
two new products launched at
MLA Expo 17 their intent to stay
in the industry vanguard is clear.
» » “CLASSICPRO AND
eCLIQ products launched
at the show have both
been developed to offer
enhanced security and
benefit from the company’s
commitment to innovation,’
said national sales manager,
Kevin Menzies. “ClassicPro
is an evolution of the Legacy
platform and features a 10-
pin telescopic mechanism
cylinder and offers master
key advancement that will
allow system managers to
open every door and control
access for other users.
“We feel that our newly
launched eCliq system is
more durable, secure and
efficient than conventional
locking systems, with
all elements of access
control handled by an
electronic key. The cylinder
is self-lubricating and is
maintenance- free for up to
200,000 cycles. It has been
developed by ASSA ABLOY
during the last two years.”
Mul-T-Lock also launched
its new range of NE and NG
padlocks at the show.
On MLA EXPO 17, Kevin
smiled and admitted:
“We pack up our business
and park it here for the
weekend!”
a new product catalogue of all lines
every few months. We are also
extremely mindful of dealing solely
with the trade and make complete
checks of all customers so we know
everyone is qualified or a trade
locksmith.”
On MLA EXPO 17 Paul said:
“We see so many of our customers
there.”
Safe growth
for tiger
spirit at Burg
Wachter
» » BUSINESS GROWTH OF
double digits for each of the
past three years has been
just part of the positive news
from safes and post boxes
manufacturer Burg Wachter
UK since purchasing Sterling
locks as its subsidiary in
2014.
‘Our unit sales volume
comes with the padlocks,
post boxes and smaller items
from both the Burg Wachter
and Sterling ranges,’ says
marketing director Rex Atkins.
‘But the lion’s share of our
turnover comes from safes
with 80 per cent. There
are many more people
now storing cash at home,
particularly with interest rates
being so low. We’ve expanded
our range too with our Combi-
line safes launching here at
MLA Expo 17 and adding to
LOCKSMITHJOURNAL.CO.UK | NOV/DEC 2017
Sponsored by ABUS
ranges such as the Diplomat.
In terms of sales aspiration,
having been here only here
years, we are well on our way
to being the market leader for
safes in the UK.’
‘There are many
more people
now storing
cash at home’
Burg Wachter don’t just
talk about lion’s shares either,
they also talk about tigers as
the Yorkshire-based company
are now an official sponsor of
Castleford Tigers RLFC.
