TRAINING • 61 PROUD SPONSORS OF THIS PAGE “This particular course is only aimed at very experienced locksmiths and it is good that we are structured in such a way as to be able to deliver it; we always knew it would be a really popular addition to our range of courses, an opportunity for previous trainees to MPL to revisit us and upgrade their skills.” “It was also interesting that when we offered a PVCu course as a training package in conjunction with Lockex last year that the take up was so huge.” “Over the three days of the exhibition we had over 70 Locksmiths show an interest in learning about toeing and heeling and the importance to the performance of the lock of getting this element right. So often they get called out to repair or replace a failing lock to find that had this part of the installation been done correctly there would not be the same level of problems.” “For locksmiths, being able to add this skill to their portfolio is a real asset which will bring more opportunity for them to help homeowners, and a different way of solving the problems they face out in the field.” SO, WHAT ABOUT 2017 – WHAT IS MPL PLANNING TO OFFER THE INDUSTRY? Nicky again – “We are obviously going to continue to talk to the market to see what Locksmiths want and how we can help them to achieve it.” “We have some great live case studies of how trainees attending MPL courses have gone on to really enhance their careers and their business performance and we will be sharing that information and best practice with attendees to our courses.” “We will also be moving into new bigger premises which will give us the opportunity to widen our range of courses, bring in more trainers and support the wider Locksmith market even further.” “Our new premises will be twostorey and cover over 2,000 square feet of floor space to give us the opportunity to really expand and enhance our offering. We will not move away from our core principles of giving the best mix of hands on and theoretical training directly through people who are locksmiths in their own right, or from our on-going after sales and marketing support to our trainees.” “But we will be offering an even wider range of training as our commitment to the industry. The first new course we are going to launch will be for the automotive industry, and as with all our courses it will be delivered by a hands-on auto locksmith, and will offer the sector something very new”. “It is a really exciting time ahead for MPL and for the locksmith industry and we are looking forward to a really positive and busy year”. ‘a really exciting time ahead for MPL and for the locksmith industry’ For more information on MPL Locksmith Training please contact the team through www.mpl-locksmith-training. co.uk 01924 360444 or enquiries@ mpl-locksmith-training.co.uk LOCKSMITHJOURNAL.CO.UK | NOV/DEC 2016 TESTIMONIAL “We are big supporters of the Locksmith industry, and any event which gives those in the industry a chance to get together, to share information and best practice, and to showcase new services and products is a good thing.
