We are currently looking to recruit a full time technical standards and group
design and accreditations manager to work with technical team on product
design and development, and lead the testing and certi?cation of new products to
latest international security and safety standards across the Surelock McGill
Group. This role will primarily be based out of our Wokingham head of?ce. An
ideal role for an enthusiastic person who has ambition to develop their career
within our growing business.
The role:
Work with the research and development technical team to assist in the design of
and advise on changes to, existing and future products in advance of
manufacturing. Lead the in-house and independent testing, ensuring all products
the latest UK & International standards for high performance security and safety
applications. Writing design briefs and product speci?cations. Maintaining
records of testing and accreditations, and providing reports to the
sales/marketing team on the status and accreditation of new and existing
products. Responsible for material conformity checks and quality control
procedures. Providing technical support to customers. Support the identi?cation
and implementation of improvements to working practices of the organisation.
Requirements for applicants:
* Deep understanding of European and UK safety and security standards for
doors and locking systems.
* Thorough understanding of ISO 900 preferably with a proven history of ISO
implementation and maintenance.
* Background in Engineering and physical security.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* You will be naturally hard working, results focused, and enthusiastic.
* Must be smart and well presented to represent our company well when in face
to face meetings.
