NEW VENUE A GOOD CHOICE FOR
CUTTING EDGE EXHIBITION
The decision to hold this year’s Cutting Edge Exhibition - the
Event of the Year for the shoe repair, key cutting and engraving
trades- at EventCity in Manchester’s Trafford Centre Complex,
proved a good one, as did the decision to extend the event over
two days.
This new Exhibition centre, with all the facilities you’d expect
from a venue second only in size to the NEC outside London, has
much to offer. For those with families and some time to spare,
EventCity is part of the Trafford Centre Complex so it provides
them with not only a great shopping experience but also family
attractions such as Legoland and the new Chill Factor.
This year the Exhibition was held over two days to include
Monday as well as Sunday, allowing visitors who struggle to visit
at the weekend an extra chance to attend.
Among the main attractions were some interesting and
informative seminars and new exhibitors from the UK and
Europe.
UK EXPANSION CONTINUES FOR TROTEC
Among the European exhibitors was
Trotec, one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of laser machines for
cutting, engraving and marking a wide
range of materials.
Founded in 1997 in Austria, Trotec’s UK
headquarters is based in Washington near
Newcastle-upon-Tyne. With five regional
sales offices around the UK, Trotec is fast
becoming one of Britain’s leading laser
machine manufacturers. As part of its UK
expansion, Trotec will shortly open a new
showroom in Warrington, Cheshire, where
the full family of Trotec lasers will be on
view.
Trotec experts demonstrated their laser
systems and informed visitors how a laser
machine can help expand their business. At
the Show were two of Trotec’s most popular
machines - the Rayjet, Trotec’s entry-level
laser system, an affordable choice for firsttime laser users and small businesses, and
the Speedy 300 flexx, the only one of its
kind on the market.
On 18 October this year, Trotec
inaugurated its new headquarters in
Marchtrenk, Austria (pictured), when the
board welcomed dignitaries as well as
Trodat and Trotec employees for the grand
opening of the “zero energy building”
.
