IFSEC Istanbul conquers the region
IFSEC Istanbul, organised by UBM Live, has closed its
doors for 2013 following a very successful launch event on
30 September - 2nd October. The inaugural IFSEC Istanbul
welcomed more than 2,000 visitors from across South eastern
Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East at the Lufti Kirdar
Convention and Exhibition Centre, Istanbul, Turkey. More
than 57 countries were represented and the exhibition
attracted high level security professionals with buying power
in excess of $10million.
With a thriving sign up rate, more than 60 per cent of exhibitors
have already committed to the next edition of the exhibition
when it returns in the Spring of 2015. Exhibitors were thrilled
with how the show was received, Ray Wilsenach, General
Manager, NEMTEK said: “IFSEC Istanbul has been really good,
we’re really pleased with the quality of visitors as we’ve seen lots
of high level, international buyers. It’s a smaller version of IFSEC
International in the UK for us, attracting a truly international
market. IFSEC as a whole is a very strong brand, which is why
we exhibit at IFSEC Istanbul, IFSEC International, IFSEC & OSH
Arabia, IFSEC India, IFSEC Southeast Asia and IFSEC South
Africa.”
IFSEC Istanbul brought the whole security buying chain
together under one roof, with manufacturers, channel partners
and security professionals from government and private
sectors converging to create endless networking and business
development opportunities. Visitors were also able to get handson with the latest product developments from across the whole
region.
Taking place alongside the exhibition, the high level IFSEC
Istanbul Conference saw sessions presented from Frost &
Sullivan, GESIDER, UKTI and other industry leaders. Detailing
the latest technological advances and industry trends, and
presenting a number of focused case studies, delegates were able
to experience a broad range of in-depth information from leaders
in the field.
The success of the conference has prompted the organisers,
UBM Live, to present a dedicated focus on education in 2014,
providing an even greater scope of thought leading seminars
before returning to Lufti Kirdar for the exhibition in 2015.
