CGDI : CG are manufacturers Autowave have worked with for over two years and whilst not the most advertised brand in the UK , CG are renowned for powerful devices such as CG MB , CGDI BMW , CG Prog , AT200 and CG100 . Not forgetting the hugely popular CG Godzilla automatic key cutting machine .
CG often send us products to test , most recently the CG100x , and we at Autowave can say with confidence that their engineering work is world class . Mainly due to the fact their CEO is a true engineer and so actively involved in technical development .
During our visit to CG we were informed of an upcoming key programming device that will be released by the end of this year . We discussed new software updates for devices and additional key profiles for the Godzilla automatic key cutting machine , which remains one of our bestselling key cutting machines . The new programmer is currently being tested by us in the UK so all being well we can release it this year .

KD products are and have always been excellent quality and this doesn ’ t look like it is going to change . We discussed their range of remotes which continues to expand with the recent introduction of Toyota remotes and new garage remotes . There were some exciting new products discussed ; two that particularly stood out were ‘ KD tag ’ that is a more cost-effective alternative to the Apple AirTag and “ Smart Key Box ” ( which we will probably rename ) that will allow you open and start a vehicle with an APP as well as add a KD remote by simply installing the smart box in the vehicle . Perfect for vehicles where offering a conventional spare key solution isn ’ t possible . We did a test using a FBS4 Mercedes and it worked flawlessly , so this is something simple but innovative that will open some extra revenue streams for auto locksmiths .
Lonsdor :
Lonsdor is very popular amongst our customers especially with the industry leading Toyota functions and recently introduced JLR coverage . Steven , one of the owners of Lonsdor and a close friend of Leo and mine , showed us what ’ s in the pipeline .
A new device called K518 PRO will be released in the UK market later this year , the hardware is refreshed and slightly more modern looking . The existing device will still be updated but I think it was due a more modern look . Lonsdor have developed further Toyota functions and will be releasing more updates that allow all keys lost programming for Toyota bladed keys without the need to remove / disassemble the immobiliser module .
Previously Lonsdor supplied a variety of Toyota smart remote PCB ’ s that cover nearly the whole range of Toyota , now they have released the “ LT20 ” version which comes in three variants and will cover the complete range . These can be “ set ” using the K518 or KH100 + device and are in stock and available already from Autowave .
There are some exciting times ahead for the locksmith industry as all the top manufacturers in China continue to develop market leading devices . It ’ s unbelievable to witness firsthand the progress being made on a daily basis by these manufacturers . Autowave having a presence in Shenzhen allows us to work closely with each of these brands , not just as a reseller but as a partner . Autowave ’ s production and assembly facility in China continues to grow so we are in a prime position to service the locksmith industry in the UK and Europe .
