NEW GCC TRIED AND TESTED
CORROSION RESISTANCE HINGES
» » HOPPE (UK) HAS ADDED
two new hinges tried and tested
in the Gulf Cooperation Council
(GCC) to its AR8180 range.
The range includes three
different stainless steel material
grades that cover all levels of
required application, the two
newest being the 304 and 316.
The grade 304 can be used
on internal doors within humid
climates. Grade 316 is the
ideal choice for external doors
that are exposed to humid
climates. It’s also suitable for
doors on coastal or marine
applications, or on buildings
with a high chlorine level such
as swimming pools.
Grade 201 can be specified
for many internal doors that
aren’t exposed to the outside
Karen Nelson, business
development manager at
HOPPE (UK), said: “The GCC
has much higher levels of
humidity than the UK and
specifiers use the 304 as
standard. We can therefore
be confident that the AR8180
hinges will deliver our UK
customers proven corrosion
resistance.”
All hinges are tested to grade
13 of the European standard
EN1935 and are CE marked and
CERTIFIRE tested so have been
tested on 30, 60, 90 and 120
minute timber and 240 minute
steel fire doors. They are also
available with intumescent kits
to meet the conditions of the
hinges’ fire test evidence.
