WHY IS ERA LAUNCHING A
NEW INSTALLER SCHEME?
ERA has made its focus for 2019
the locksmith, because it knows they
are key to linking the ERA brand with
the homeowner. Security-conscious
consumers rely on well-informed
locksmiths to safeguard their residential
and commercial properties and
possessions with the best possible
product. By making sure that locksmiths
are confident and competent with all
the latest smartware technology – and
mechanical security hardware – ERA
knows that locksmiths, installers, and
security specialists will pick their product
over that of a competitor.
Tania Tams continues: “ERA wants to
make it easier for locksmiths to specify,
supply, sell, and set up its products. As
smartware is becoming increasingly
sought after, too many locksmiths and
installers have been left behind as they
don’t have the time or the money to
attend extensive and expensive training
courses. That’s why ERA has made its
training courses free of charge and
they will be approximately 85 percent
practical; which means no lengthy
classroom lectures, but plenty of hands-
on experience to get you up-to-speed as
quickly as possible.”
WHO SHOULD SIGN UP TO THE
ERA INSTALLER SCHEME?
In short, ERA’s new Installer Scheme is
perfect for anyone that wishes to boost
their business, improve local leads, get
better prices on products, and be fully
up-to-speed on training and installation.
Locksmiths, electricians, builders, door
and window fitters should be especially
keen to take part though.
Tania Tams assures that: “Locksmiths
don’t have to worry about giving up
their identity when they join the ERA
Installer Scheme. The network has been
designed to help them improve their own
individual brands by being associated
with ERA. When it comes to their
profile page, for example, the user will
have full control over what information
the customer reads about them. It
will contain their company logo, any
associated icons, text about the business
and contact details.”
Locksmiths can select the radius in
which they want to work so will never

be asked to go outside of the ‘normal’
working range. The significance of this
is not just convenience for the installer
and lower van mileage though, it further
helps to bolster an installer’s reputation
in their local area, something ERA is very
keen to help develop through its new
Installer Scheme.
Following every job, the homeowner
will be encouraged to rate the installer
and this review will be added to the
company’s profile page. Customer
ratings, feedback, and recommendations
are an integral part of the customer
journey in the ‘Go Compare’ world we
live in, yet can be a very difficult service
to provide and follow up for the average
installer. The ERA Installer Scheme
provides a freepost form for every job
that you can give to your customer, and
they can send back to ERA to add to
the system, or the customer will receive
a follow-up email in a few weeks after
the job and be asked to do the rating
online.
Tania Tams concludes: “We want to
give back locksmith the chance to do
what they should be doing; locksmithing.
Too many companies – especially small
and medium enterprises – have had to
take on their own marketing, branding,
social media, lead generation, product
selection, training course; the list is
endless. The ERA Installer Scheme
means that locksmiths can sell with
confidence, fit and set up perfectly, order
with ease (and often at reduced cost),
and then move onto the next job.”
