With increased publicity surrounding smart locks and their benefits, people are now realising that there are multiple options when it comes to their access control methods. Smart locks are still relatively new to the market but seem to be a very popular choice, given the flexibility and convenience that most smart locks offer, I can only see this market segment continuing to grow. DO YOU THINK THAT AN INCREASE IN SMART LOCKS WILL INCREASE THE DEMAND FO R USER SUPPORT? Absolutely, more complex technology can mean more queries. Having used the support tools available, I can see the end users need for this support increasing. HAVE YOU ATTENDED ANY OTHER LOCKSMITH TRAINING? HOW DOES IT COMPARE?
We have taken part in different sessions with other manufacturers but the Codelocks session really stood out for us, as incredibly user friendly with a great mix of listening and hands on experience. DID YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW? YES! I learnt so much, not only about the installation of smart locks but also the programming and range that Codelocks offer. WHAT DID YOU FIND MOST USEFUL FROM THE TRAINING?
I was really able to develop my understanding of the smart lock software, which means I am far more comfortable discussing the features and benefits with customers. HOW HAS THIS TRAINING BENEFITTED YOUR CUSTOMERS?
By increasing my confidence, I would feel comfortable in providing our customers with LOCKSMITHJOURNAL.CO.UK | MAR/APR 2018 Sponsored by Lockex 2018 - Security & Fire Safety a detailed recommendation on whether smart locks are suitable for them or not. Now that I have a comprehensive understanding of the product, I would happily offer advice and support, giving my customers peace of mind. ‘Smart locks are still relatively new to the market but seem to be a very popular choice’ WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR LOCKSMITHS LOOKING AT THE CODELOCKS TRAINING?
