DIY & Lock Expo

success ABUS launched its
new ModularMX Cylinder
System at Lock Expo 2016.
ModularMX is a
Eurocylinder system
compatible with Bravus,
Vitess and Zolit systems,
offering locksmiths
complete flexibility for
quick tool free modification
and fitting of cylinders.
Visitors to the stand
were able to see examples
of the product as well as
demonstrations of how to
build, modify and install the
cylinders.
ABUS was also pleased to
offer a “pre-release” viewing
of its wAppLoxx mechatronic
locking system, where visitors
were able to see and use the
new lock and alarm system
before its release, which is
estimated for the second half
of 2016.

ABUS Bravus, Vitess and Zolit
euro double and thumbturn
patented and trademark
protected cylinder systems, to
help lock specialists get easier
and more profitable sales.
ModularMX offers maximum
flexibility for quick tool free
modification and fitting of
nickel cylinders ranging
from 30/30mm to 70/70mm,
without the need for stock of
every cylinder size.
For locksmiths driving
to an on-site service call or
emergency callout, without
knowing the cylinder lengths
required, ABUS ModularMX
offers the ideal solution. The
Modular system variants
allow locksmiths to react to
the onsite requirements in a
flexible and secure manner,
saving time, stock and
avoiding costly return trips.
Using just a few simple
steps, the basic length of
30/30mm can be extended on
either side at 5mm intervals,
up to a cylinder length
of 70/70mm, using just a
screw for onsite convenient
modification.
