HOMEASSURED IS LOCKSMITH
LOTTERY FIRST LUCKY WINNER!
»»The Locksmith Lottery first
draw lucky winner is Gordon Dingwall,
who set up Homeassured in Kirkcaldy,
Fife in January 2007.
Gordon wins a Tradelocks Pick Gun
worth £185 + VAT, courtesy of Tradelocks,
as well as bubbly.
Originally, Gordon’s business was a
commercial and domestic locksmith
but has since expanded to include
auto locksmithing, becoming an Auto
Locksmith member last year.
Gordon is the expert Auto and General
Locksmith while wife Vicci Dingwall takes
care of the office and shop.
“We are both delighted to have won
the Locksmith Lottery – it was a complete
surprise! We are regular readers of The
Locksmith which helps keep us up to
speed on developments in the business
– there is always a lot to learn in this
industry so it is important to have access
to information,” said Gordon.
“We will put our prize to good use and
the bubbly will help us celebrate this
success! Our thanks to Tradelocks, who
provided our really useful prize and also
to The Locksmith team,” he added.
Gordon’s workshop and shop are
based in Kirkcaldy but the business is also
mobile enabling him to cover Fife and the
surrounding areas.
Homeassured now has a wide
customer base, from the general
public to independent garages, and its
reputation has been built on reliability
and competitiveness, plus the fact that
the business is local and both Vicci and
Gordon are well-known, which Gordon
believes is what sets it apart from others.
“We are pleased to have a lot of
business directly from customer
recommendations,” says Gordon.
“Feedback from customers is very good
– focussing on service they find to be
friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. But
