42 • LOCKEXPO ENQUIRIES CONTINUE AFTER ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL LOCKEXPO 2015 ORGANISERS URGE EXHIBITORS - ‘BOOK YOUR STAND NOW FOR 2016’ »»Lockexpo 2015 at East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, sponsored by UAP Tradelocks, was another resounding success with visitor numbers up on previous years - Saturday seeing just over 900 visitors, the majority from all over the UK but also those who travelled from Spain, Italy and Germany as well as other parts of Europe - and there were some American voice in evidence too. With a quiet start to Sunday, the ‘overnighters’ managed to get onto the exhibitors they needed to, but by 12.30 the place was again packed as another 580 people visited, ‘the level of enquiries post-show is continuing at a higher than normal rate’ seeking out those special offers and other bargains and buying stock at the event, which in 2015 celebrated its sixth year as an important date in the industry calendar. The hotel was similarly packed with both the hotel bar, the exhibition bar and food service being very busy. A quick check as the exhibitors packed up showed that some Sanjay from Trackit247 commented: “We sold a few units at the Show, but in the last week the fear of losing their vans has brought a fresh batch of enquiries” . Locksure’s James Mottram confirmed Sanjay’s comments, saying that he is dealing with more enquiries each day. Lockexpo’s Mick Friend advises that anyone seeking a new exhibition stand for 2016 would be well advised to e-mail him sooner rather than later to reserve any free space that may occur. 80 percent have reserved their space for next year (2016.) The dates are 27th and 28th February (Mother’s day is on 6th March so there is no family clash). A poll amongst exhibitors
