The new TDB004 Counter Top
Transponder Key Tester from Advanced
Keys Ltd offers a simple check to
ensure a key or remote control has a
working transponder fitted and also
provides a fast, easy way to check if the
transponder is responding.
This innovative Tester enables key
shops and other point of sale businesses
to show customers that their car, truck
or motorcycle key has an electronic
transponder located inside the key, which
will help boost the sales of transponder
key replacements. Staff at the shops and
other retail outlets can explain to the
customers why it is so important to have
a spare key - owing to the cost of lost
key replacement when transponders are
involved.
Additionally, it is not always easy to
check whether there is a transponder
fitted when diagnosing vehicle key and
immobiliser problems, so the TDB004
offers a simple cost-effective solution,
saving time and money.
The TDB004 has a large aperture to
allow most keys and remotes to be
checked, and gives an indication that
DATA is being sent by the transponder
and the frequency at which the
transponder is communicating, by way of
LEDs and a sounder.
The TDB004 can work off a mains 5 volt
power supply or 3 x AA batteries, normal
or rechargeable, again, adding to its
flexibility and cost-effectiveness. It will
run for a minimum of 20 hours with good
quality batteries. Extra useful touches
include an automatic power off feature
to save battery life and a low battery
indicator.
As a further sales and marketing tool, the
TDB004 front panel can be customised to
incorporate different marketing and sales
messages, translations, different graphic
requirements.
