22 • LOCKEX2018 REVIEW PROUD SPONSORS OF LOCKEX 2018 The Main Event – Lockex 2018 After months of planning – for both organisers and exhibitors – Lockex just flew by, but as quickly as it seemed to go for all involved, the three-day event was also packed with world-class exhibitors, exciting product launches, exclusive competitions, workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and even had its own soundtrack provided by Fix Radio. » » IN THIS ISSUE OF THE LOCKSMITH Journal, you’ll find reviews to the stands, what people saw, who saw it, plus several articles that expand on the event’s displays and demonstrations, so if you didn’t make it to the show, you don’t have to miss out. And, if there’s an area of the show that hasn’t been covered, or you think we’ve missed something out, don’t worry because there’s plenty more to come in the next issue too – there was just so much going on that we couldn’t fit it all in… Even in the days leading up to event, excitement was building in line with the building of the stands; as more and more impressive units were being installed and products were being off-loaded from trucks and into Coventry’s Ricoh Arena. When the doors opened on the first day, a queue of visitors had already formed outside the main show and as they came into the venue, and collected their goody bags and event guides, Friday certainly got off to a fantastic start. Fix Radio broadcasting live from the event added an extra element to this year’s exhibition with DJs conducting live interviews throughout the day in between pop and rock songs that filled the Ricoh.
