Keeping Alive – and Promoting- Traditional Craftsmanship
Located in Willenhall, appropriately right in the heart of the country’ s historic centre for the lock and key industry, Keith Carrier & Son is a family business that is proud to keep alive many of the handcrafted skills that might otherwise have been lost for ever.

KEITH SADLY PASSED AWAY THREE years ago, but his legacy lives on in his son, Neil, along with his commitment that has ensured not only are these skills alive and well but the company actively continues to revive crafts and, indeed, has built its reputation on tackling challenging projects – including complex restoration and refurbishment work- that few in the business can handle in this day and age.
With his background, Neil, who has a partner, Alyson with whom he has a two year daughter, has developed his own impressive expertise and knowledge, regularly being called upon to work on the most prestigious projects – not only in the UK but overseas. A recent project took Neil to Mayfair, one of the Capital’ s most wealthy areas, following which he was contacted by a customer with a property in South of France, a converted abbey, to take on a project there.
‘ a genuine passion for the industry which is evident in his enthusiasm for every task’
He also recently completed work for the Palace of Westminster and carried out restoration work on a 1920s Rolls-Royce.
Neil is respected by some of the best known names in the industry – for example, Keith worked with Squire to test the Stronghold Padlocks when they were initially designed. They have also made locks and keys for household and global names- Yale and Chubb.
PASSION & ENTHUSIASM
He also has a genuine passion for the industry which is evident in his enthusiasm for every task.
