72 • AUTOLOCKSMITHS PROUD SPONSORS OF THIS PAGE ‘Mobile Start’ App set to start up car Japanese car manufacturer Mazda has launched a new mobile phone application that will relinquish the need for car keys. The new app, named Mazda Mobile Start enables users to lock or unlock doors, start the vehicle even locate their car through GPS technology from their mobile phones. »»The app, which is an optional extra, can be trialled free for the first year, after which it will cost the user $500 to install and $65 a year for renewal. Only available on the new Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6, the app is compatible with both iOS and Android Smartphone systems. Features of the app allow users to start their engines from their house and run them for 30 minutes before getting in the vehicle, ideal for either cooling down or warming up the vehicle. A door locking feature, allowing users to check if the car doors are closed correctly, without the need to go back the vehicle. The Carfinder feature is perhaps the most helpful characteristic of the app however, and uses a Smartphone camera setting and GPS technology to help users locate their car with H[وH
