Expanded management
team for Sterling and Burg
Sterling Locks, part of the worldwide Burg-Wächter group, has expanded
its management and sales teams with three new appointments.
»»ANDREW FIELD HAS BEEN
promoted to managing director of Sterling
and Burg, following the retirement of the
previous managing director. Andrew has
been part of the Sterling success story
since joining the business in 2010 as head
of commercial. Prior to joining Sterling,
Andrew has been in the DIY industry
for over 20 years, including the hand
and power tools as well as the plant hire
sectors.
New additions to Sterling Locks are Paul
Collins, Mark Connolly and David Todd.
In his role as national accounts manager
for Sterling, Paul Collins will be using his
experience of the consumer electronics,
lighting and adhesives industries to
continue the growth of the Sterling brand
across the UK. Mark Connolly is the new
business development manager for Burg,
responsible for continuing the brand’s
growth in the UK. Mark has a proven track
record in the security industry having
previously worked with both household
names and specialist security companies.
Also joining the business as head of sales
is David Todd, who brings a range of fresh
perspectives from the FMCG sector.
Welcoming the new recruits to the team,

nightlatches offering with the launch of
a new range of deadlocking models. A
key feature of this nightlatch is that it can
be deadlocked from the outside with a
full turn of the key, providing additional
security for doors with (or near) glass
panels.
Designed to cater for left and
right handed opening doors, these
deadlocking nightlatches are an ideal
upgrade from all traditional nightlatches.
Supplied in either standard or narrow
sizes ensures the nightlatches can be
fitted to timber and composite doors
ranging from 35mm to 60mm thick.
Both the standard and narrow backset
nightlatches are available in brass
or grey finishes, whilst silver finish is
an additional option on the standard
model.
