Position B5 is next to bind and pick -
Position B3 is next to bind & pick again
Position 2 on A axis reads as a 3 cut
then the lock rotates to dead area.
As position B3 is picked the lock fully opens
Position 3 on A axis is a No 1 cut
So with the first part of the pick to dead man’s land complete, we now apply a little more tension and concentrate on picking again the B axis

Now that the lock is open, whilst holding the lock in the fully open position via the tension arm, we can decode each position 1 to 5 on both the A and the B axis to find our key. We achieve this by moving each lifter along the vertical numbered line in the same direction we picked until it stops on one of the horizontal key height lines - this will be the key cut in that position. A axis decode
Position 4 on A axis reads as a No 3 cut
Position B5 is first to bind & pick again
Position 1 on A axis reads as a 1 cut
