Greenteq iQ – Works with Kubu
VBH , the hardware specialist behind the greenteQ brand , has partnered with Kubu , the smart security sensor experts , to offer a wide range of smart locking solutions .
» THE GREENTEQ IQ LOCK RANGE currently includes a selection of PAS24- capable multipoint locks for residential doors of all materials , and three casement window locking systems ; the iQ security window espagnolette , the iQ Intellect shootbolt , and iQ Superior shootbolt with hooks .
All iQ products are fully functional in their own right , without the link to a smart hub , but can be easily upgraded either in the factory or at any time thereafter by the homeowner .
All that is required to upgrade are a sensor kit for each lock and a Kubu smart home hub . Simple instructions will help the user to link their windows and doors to their smart home network .
Linking provides them with a host of benefits in addition to the smooth operation and tough burglar resistance performance that come with iQ locks as standard .
Users can check on the open / closed and even locked status of their doors , and they can see immediately on their smart phones and tablets if their windows are open , closed or on night vent . They can receive reminders to open or close windows at a certain time and receive tamper alerts if someone attempts to jemmy the door or window .
Doors and windows that work with Kubu can be linked to other items in the home network , such as lighting , heating and air-con controls , alarm systems and more . Users can also set up comfort alarms to warn of incoming inclement weather for example .
Optional alerts can be set to sound if the user leaves home without locking the door or closing the window .
For homeowners who want to ‘ get smart ’ without the full iQ / Kubu connectivity experience , they can opt for the greenteQ Q-Smart electronic door handle . Q-Smart removes the need for
keys to lock and unlock the door , utilising fingerprint recognition , proximity cards or a phone app instead . Permanent or temporary access can be granted to anyone from anywhere via the app and it also keeps a record of entries .
