APECS Grand Tour :
Natasha Brings Sunshine to Scotland
ยป THIS MONTH WE INTERVIEWED Natasha Pugh , Sales Director of APECS , who did a grand tour of Scotland on 22- 26th April - visiting over 40 customers and showcasing their full range of entry level and high security Euro cylinders and NEW Tedee Smart Lock , as well as attending the Locksmith Training School . The sun was shining the whole time she was there , which was very unusual for Scotland , while it rained in England all week .
What was the purpose of the trip ?
APECS wanted to connect with new and existing customers in Scotland . I chose to do the trip over five days , so I could visit as many locksmiths , retailers and wholesalers as possible and planned my route from Edinburgh , to Glasgow , then Aberdeen , to Dundee and ending-up in Stirling .
It was great to meet customers in person , connect with them and grow the APECS network . We โ ve developed so many new products in-house it was great to demonstrate everything that โ s new . Our new showstopping Tedee Smart Lock really went down a treat as well as our full range of BASE entry level cylinders , XS Dual 1 * and AP 3 * cylinders . As specialists in Euro cylinders , we don โ t have a massive portfolio of products , but everything we do , we do it well .
The Locksmith School Scotland
On the Friday I visited the Locksmith School Scotland , along with our fantastic Nathan Martin , our marketing manager , and presented to a room full of locksmiths , showing them APECS products , demonstrating the new Tedee Smart Lock and giving out goody bags . The Locksmith School is run by James Kettyles and his wife Tanja , who offers a range of courses from beginner to advanced
levels , including : auto locksmith , access control , mortice picking , high security cylinder picking , lock bumping ,
UPVC and cylinder modules .
The event was a great opportunity to meet our customers as well as connect with some new locksmiths . James Kettyles recently won finalist Entrepreneur of the Year at the Scottish Veterans Awards . James severed in the Royal Regiment for 20 years , and when he left the army 10 years ago , when he set up AL Security which became one of biggest companies in Scotland , he then wanted to use his success to help others , so opened the Locksmith School Scotland . James was still buzzing from winning the award , congratulations again James Kettyles !
