DHF LAUNCHES SMAS WORKSAFE AS A NEW MEMBER BENEFIT

» TAMWORTH-BASED trade association , the Door & Hardware Federation ( DHF ), has announced the launch of a new member benefit : Smas Worksafe . Established in 2006 , Smas is one of the UK ’ s leading providers of health and safety assessments and a national frontrunner in offering full form SSIP services ; SSIP stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement ; it is not an accreditation in itself , but a membership forum for health and safety assessment schemes operating in the UK and the Republic of Ireland .
They have extensive experience in assisting businesses to efficiently manage their
health and safety obligations through tailored packages and training , and developing the correct documentation to enable businesses to secure industryrecognised accreditations to meet regulatory requirements . In addition , Smas offers Pre-Qualification Questionnaire ( PQQ ) services aligned with the PAS91 framework . This addition is aimed at streamlining the pre-qualification process for construction-related procurements , making it easier for businesses to meet industry standards and win tenders .
Comprehending the complexities and oftenoverwhelming nature of health
and safety management , Smas prioritises simplicity and efficiency in its processes . Every SMAS assessor , for example , undergoes rigorous SSIP Assessor Training , followed by an audit conducted by an independently appointed SSIP Auditor .
“ Gaining Smas SSIP accreditation not only proves your commitment to health and safety but also opens doors to connect with these clients through the Smas portal ,” explains DHF ’ s Commercial Director , Patricia Sowsbery- Stevens . “ This accreditation is a signal to potential clients of your serious approach to H & S
management , going beyond legal obligations to nationally recognised standards . As well as receiving 15 % discount on training course from iHasco , a 10 % discount at Trade Point and savings with Fuel Card Services , members will also be able to gain access to a free Work Wallet account . This new partnership represents a shared commitment to advancing safety standards within the industry and will bring exclusive benefits to DHF members who will receive preferential rates with Smas Worksafe .”
