ABLOY UK LAUNCHES APERIO KL100 WIRELESS CABINET LOCK

» ABLOY UK HAS launched the new Aperio KL100 – a battery powered wireless access solution for lockers , cabinets , cupboards and drawers , to help improve the security of valuables and personal items .
The Aperio KL100 allows almost any small opening to become an integral part of an access control system , helping to secure things such as personal valuables , medicines , sensitive documents , retail stock , sports kit and more , while deterring unauthorised access and theft .
Available in two different lengths and several CAM options , the KL100 is a straightforward retrofit solution , and can be fitted to
almost any wooden or metal locker , cabinet , or drawer .
The wireless lock needs no specialist maintenance and is powered by one battery , which only uses power when a credential is presented , removing the hassle and inflexibility of physical keys . What ’ s more , the Aperio KL100 can be operated with mobile keys via Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC , as well as smartcards and fobs using all major RFID technologies . The solution can also be used with multiple credential technologies simultaneously , meaning security managers can implement mobile keys when convenient .
Installation is quick and simple , and the wirefree
solution is designed for minimal disruption to furniture . It ’ s contemporary , low-profile design and power provided by a single , standard lithium battery make it a modern and futureproof option .
The Aperio KL100 integrates seamlessly with any new or existing access control and security system - from over 100 different manufacturers and counting . Plus , Aperio supports a wide range of current credentials as well as BLE and NFC Mobile credentials .

Enhanced variation of Federal ’ s Iron Guard 3 * Cylinder launched by Carl F Groupco

Advanced features include a patented firing pin mechanism which engages if the cylinder is snapped . The cam will lock itself down , preventing unauthorised access via the cam and providing an extra layer of security . Additionally , a unique trap pin feature further enhances security . In the event of attempted picking or bumping , the trap pin is fired into the plug chamber locking the plug and preventing access . In both scenarios , the cylinder can be safely operated from the inside .
Another benefit of this variant is that it ’ s non-handed ; the sacrificial cut features on both the internal and external sides of the cylinder meaning that no matter which direction the cylinder is fitted , there will be the same anti-snap protection . In addition , for locksmiths and repairers , the feature will reduce stock holding requirements .
A horizontal keyway for the secure dimple cut key provides visual security to ward off intruders , as does the Kitemark that ’ s visible on the face of the cylinder . It comes with five keys and a keycard so keys can be registered and reordered securely . The cylinder has a nickel finish with brass barrel and is available as double , single and thumb turn options as well as keyedalike pairs .
