THE REVIEWS ARE IN
While there never seems to be any down time in our industry , October really seemed to fly by , as everyone was so busy . It was no different for us here at The Locksmith Journal HQ – especially as we ’ re almost six months into our ‘ new ’ look as a monthly magazine . The ‘ main event ’ had to be the MLA Expo and wow , what an event .
» IN THE RUN UP TO ANY EVENT , the term ‘ bigger and better ’ is often bandied about , but in this case the ‘ B word ’ had to be ‘ busy ’. Some stands were so busy in fact that we didn ’ t even get chance to catch up with some people we wanted to see and talk to , as there were too many people at their stand every time we tried . Handy that we have the official review from the organisers and exhibitors in this issue , because we need to catch up on what we missed too .
And , just like the exhibitors who spend the weeks after a show getting in touch with leads , we love the aftermath of an event , just as much as the build up and being there . Events like the MLA Expo seem to reinvigorate everyone and put a new spring in their step ( much needed as it takes place just before the clocks go forward and we ’ re plunged into darker mornings and shorter days for the foreseeable future .)
That said , this time of year has some of its own benefits too . Alongside the show reviews , winter always feels like an opportunity to reflect . We ’ ve had such an exciting year here that we haven ’ t stopped to take stock . Judging by the hustle and bustle in Telford International Centre a few weeks ago , we have a feeling you might be the same .
So , as you read through the magazine this month , and look at what ’ s been happening in our industry and what ’ s on the horizon , the memorable moments from the show and maybe even what you missed out on too , we ’ d like you to think about what ’ s ‘ missing ’ from this magazine too . In short , is it you ?
We want more readers , their brands and businesses right here on these pages – so please get in touch and we ’ ll always make time for you !
See you next time , Gemma
