UAP LAUNCHES THE FULLEX CRIMEBEATER AUTOLOCK ROSE ADVANCING SECURITY AND COMPATIBILITY FOR FIRE DOORS

» UAP LTD HAS ANNOUNCED the launch of its Fullex Autolock Rose, an innovative evolution of the popular Fullex Slam Shut Autolock, designed to deliver enhanced security and greater compatibility with modern doors.
Suitable for use with timber, composite, 44mm / 54 or thicker, the Fullex Autolock is specifically engineered to meet the needs of the fire door market, offering installers and homeowners a versatile and robust solution for contemporary construction projects.
Building on the success of the Crimebeater Slam Shut Autolock, the Fullex Autolock Rose introduces a deeper
55mm gearbox, while its flexible design supports two handle spindle options either lever on backplate or lever on rose, so allowing easy integration with a range of door designs. It also boasts a new and improved hardened gearbox casing made from a stronger plate material that ensures a higher degree of resistance to attack. The lock continues to offer firerated protection, supporting FD30 and FD60 timber and composite doors when used with perfectly cut intumescent kits, delivering confidence and peace of mind for both installers and end users.
Reliability and long-term performance remain at the
heart of the Fullex Autolock’ s design. The lock has been endurance tested for 200,000 full cycles and is BSEN1670 Grade 5 corrosion-resistant certified, providing 480 hours of protection against environmental wear. It is Secured by Design accredited and PAS 24 compatible, and when combined with a Kitemarked Euro Cylinder via the Kinetica Freezeguard 3-star euro cylinder system, it offers an additional layer of security. Supplied as a complete set with strike plate options, the Fullex Autolock Rose ensures fire-rated protection while simplifying specification and installation.
Richard Morris at UAP Ltd, said:“ At UAP, we are always looking for ways to drive progress in security hardware. The Fullex Crimebeater Autolock Rose represents our latest step forward- improving on an already trusted product to deliver enhanced compatibility, flexibility, and durability for modern fire doors. It’ s our commitment to making homes and buildings safer without compromising on quality or convenience.”

Evolving Standards and Why They Matter

» AS NEW CYLINDER LOCK ATTACK methods emerge, security must keep pace with them. By raising standards, the industry can stay ahead of threats and support the security industry in protecting homes and businesses.
The latest revision of national standards for enhanced security performance shows how the industry adapts to evolving risks. In 2024, TS007 was updated with the support of BSi and Sold Secure, which now includes protection against the latest forms of cylinder manipulation, such as freezing and glueing.
Following this, accreditation for SS312 Diamond and TS007 was also updated, becoming SS312 Diamond 2024 and BSi TS007-1:2024, with both coming into full effect from January 2027.
How Compliance Works in Practice
The framework of standards may appear complex, yet each plays an important and complementary role.
• BS EN1303:2015, provides the technical foundation by setting out clear criteria for durability, resistance and security. Its grading system allows cylinders to be measured and compared in a consistent way, giving an objective benchmark for product performance.
• TS007-1:2024, created by the Door & Hardware Federation( DHF) and the Glass and Glazing Federation, applies a star rating system to cylinders and hardware, with three stars indicating the highest level of resistance.
• SS312 Diamond, managed by Sold Secure, subjects cylinders to prolonged and sophisticated attempts to compromise them.
Together, these standards ensure cylinders are evaluated against a broad spectrum of risks. The credibility of these measures lies in the organisations behind them. The British Standards Institution( BSi), Sold Secure and the DHF all develop requirements with input from locksmiths, insurers, and the police.
Many insurance policies require TS007- three-star or SS312 Diamond approval, for cover to remain valid. Overlaying these standards is Secured by Design, the police-backed initiative recognising products proven to reduce crime. A cylinder awarded with this Police Preferred Specification has been reviewed for its contribution to reducing actual crime.
