DOORBIRD SHINES AT BAU 2025: A MILESTONE FOR INNOVATION AND SUCCESS
» OVER 180,000 VISITORS came to Munich from January 13 to 17 for the world’ s leading trade fair in the construction industry from the 2,230 exhibitors from 58 countries.
DoorBird presented the D31TDH and D31TDV IP video door stations- smart solutions for multi-apartments buildings and commercial properties with up to 1,000 units. Visitors to the stand, around 30 % of whom came from the DACH region and 70 % from abroad, were not only impressed by the flexible access control options via PIN code, QR code, RFID and Bluetooth, but also by the responsiveness of the 7-inch touch display. Another highlight was the presentation of the A1131 IP video mini

dome camera. Mounted on the wall or ceiling, it provides an additional viewing angle of the entrance area.
However, it was not only technical innovations that attracted a wide audience, DoorBird also came up with innovations in terms of design. For example, powder-coated surfaces with a Corten steel look were presented- in line with the ongoing trend of industrial design, as well as a new Italian design that blends particularly harmoniously into the installation environments of old buildings.

DHF HAILS MEMBERS’ CONFERENCE 2025,‘ GREAT SUCCESS’
» TAMWORTH-BASED TRADE association, the Door & Hardware Federation( DHF), held its Members’ Conference on Wednesday 5th February 2025 at the Royal Airforce Museum Cosford, and welcomed 200 members and industry professionals for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and innovation.
The highly enjoyable day featured a number of workshops including Dafydd Williams, from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, who spoke about the government response to Grenfell; Neil Rule, Managing Director at Access2, who spoke about the update to the standard, TS 007-1; Gillian McAteer, Director of Employment Law at Citation, who spoke on navigating employment law, and Steve Hill & Dave Jones from DHF, who delivered a presentation about The European Machinery Regulations & the European Construction Products Regulations and Driving Sustainability.
A highlight of the day was an inspiring talk from guest speaker, Flt. Lt John Nichol, who spoke movingly about his experience as a tortured British prisoner-of-war in the first Gulf War in 1991. Images of his encounter were shown across the world and became an enduring symbol of the conflict.
The exhibition hall comprised stands from Gliderol Garage & Industrial Doors, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions, RCS Doors, Allegion( UK), Expert Access Solutions Ltd, Hörmann( UK), Jewers Doors, JMA UK, LiftMaster, Rutland Door Controls, Strongdor and SWS UK, showcasing their latest products. The exhibition provided a valuable platform for networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
