JMA UK ‘ Cool Keyrings ’ and the ‘ Doming ’ Process
One of the more unique or bespoke items we produce and supply here at JMA UK are ‘ Personalised Cool Key rings .’ These colourful , high quality domed key rings offer the customer the chance to purchase branded key rings that have more of an impact over the traditional plastic fob , but also offers the ability to order in smaller quantities and have more flexibility in the design .

Doming Equipment
The process for making domed labels starts with an image , which needs to be printed on suitable print media . Then we need to cut the labels out of the media and finish them off with the resin dome . This printing and cutting requires specific , but commonly available devices , while doming requires specialised equipment that you might not have seen before .
Print & Cut Software
All our labels begin with an image . In many cases the image will be an existing company logo . If you don ’ t have an image , or need to repeatedly create or edit them , then we can design the artwork for you for a small fee .
Once we have an image / design , we will send you a proof for you to approve . Once approved , we can move on to production .
The first step in the production process requires us to create the ‘ job ’ in our dedicated ‘ VersaSTUDIO ’ software . Once we have produced the sheet of labels within the software , we can then move on to the printing process .
Upgraded Printer
For this type of label printing , you need a printer that can print at the volume you need , which comes from a combination of speed and media size , i . e ., with larger media you can print more labels at a time . The printer also needs to use the right type of ink .
Here at JMA UK we have recently upgraded to the Roland next-generation BN2-20A large-format digital printer . This printer is ideal for printing highly detailed labels of superior quality . The BN2- 20A features high quality eco-solvent ink . This ink is specially formulated to provide excellent durability – ideal for creating long-lasting decals and vibrant graphics .
Print Media
Domed labels are not printed individually , you need to print and cut them out of a much a larger source known as Print media . The Print media we use comes as a large roll and not in
