Burg Wächter Supports Buxton Community Centre
» A COMMUNITY CENTRE IN BUXTON has received a donation of security products from Burg-Wächter after being chosen for the brand ’ s ‘ Secure Communities Scheme ,’ where a local community group or charitable organisation will receive up to £ 200 worth of Burg-Wächter products free of charge .
St Anne ’ s Community Centre in Buxton happened across Burg-Wächter ’ s ‘ Secure Communities Scheme ’ when doing an internet search for local business donations . The centre was in need of an internal key cabinet for staff and an external cigarette bin after the centre ’ s one was vandalised .
Burg-Wächter awarded them with its Wall Mounted Cigarette Bin and Wall Mountable Combination Key Cabinet , which features a keyless 3-dial combination lock entry , 36 numbered key hooks and colour-coded key tags for easy organisation . With strong steel construction and a matt black finish , the cabinet can be mounted to a wall with the included fixings or attached to gates , railings and fences with the Burg- Wächter MBKT brackets .
The Wall Mounted Cigarette Bin is made from tough powder-coated galvanised steel for longevity with a secure lock and two keys for access . It has a sloping top design to stop rubbish being left on the bin and has a removable collection box to make cleaning quick and easy .
St Anne ’ s Community Centre in Buxton is maintained by St Anne ’ s RC Parish and is managed by volunteers . Built as a school in 1887 , it became a Parish Centre in the 1980s
and was officially renames ‘ St Anne ’ s Community Centre in 2014 when the building was improved to community centre standards to meet the ever-increasing demand from the wider community in Buxton . Today the community centre is used by a diverse variety of local groups and hires out rooms for community events .
Bruce Thomson , St Anne ’ s Community Centre Management Committee Volunteer for Maintenance and Fundraising , said : “ Any grant , donation , award , or gift in kind that avoids need for cash expenditure helps us maintain the community centre and keep user hire charges at a reasonable level so we can continue to provide the centre ’ s resources to the local community in Buxton .
“ We ’ d highly recommend the scheme to others who may be in need of security products . Companies like Burg-Wächter that support community organisations allow those organisations to continue supporting their local community and it is a huge benefit to everyone . We are very grateful to Burg-Wächter for sending us these products as it allows us to use the money we would have spent on these to benefit another part of the centre .”
Burg-Wächter ’ s Secure Communities Scheme gives regional charities and community groups the chance to win a security kit worth up to £ 200 for their organisation . Any regional initiative that is run by or supports the local community can apply .
Burg-Wächter launched the scheme in recognition of the fact that people around the country who are doing their bit for their community should not have to worry about the security of their premises , equipment , or storage areas . The company ’ s Secure Communities Scheme is its way of saying thank you to community leaders for supporting people in their area .
The type of project or organisation that the scheme is open to is very wideranging . If the initiative is run by or supports the local community , and it has a specific security need , Burg-Wächter would like to hear about it . Successful applicants will each receive a tailored security kit to help secure property , premises , equipment , or storage areas to the value of £ 150- £ 200 at retail price .
The Secure Communities Scheme is an ongoing initiative , which has already helped over 100 regional causes through the provision of over 2,000 pieces of security equipment .
