EE
LEAF - a very cosy cafe on Bold Street
(the centre of Liverpool's independant
food scene). It has a selection of over
30 different types of tea, great snacks
(definitely try the honey roast parsnip
soup), and loads of great events!. They
do monthly life drawing classes, open
mic nights and of course the infamous
pudding club!
MARITIME MUSEUM - a lovely traditional
warehouse building on the docks,
celebrating Liverpool's maritime history.
This museum is great, especially the
titanic exhibition which has remains from
the actual titanic wreckage. There's also
the international slavery museum on the
2nd floor which is very interesting.
ST GEORGE'S HALL - you can't miss this
fantastic building when you walk out of
Lime Street station. If you enter through
the small side door you can journey
through Liverpools past, starting in the
dungeons, working your way up to the
court room and finishing in the beautiful
ballroom.
CAVERN CLUB - so the cavern club is definitely
slightly overrated and the steps down are a huge
health and safety hazard. But the Beatle's played
there and you kind of have to go. The pints are
overpriced and it smells a bit funny, but there's
some alright gigs down there and it's fun reading
the plaques on the walls about who's played
there!
