WELFARE AND DIVERSITY Hello everyone! I'm Camilla and I'm in 5th year. I will be your LMSS Welfare and Diversity Secretary this year. "What does that mean?" I hear you say.... Well, I am here to look after your social, emotional and cultural needs and ensure you are well supported. I am here to help all medical students whether it be a chat over a coffee, a shoulder to cry on, or to point you in the right direction if you need further support. This year we are going to be supporting the BMA's campaign 'Know Mental Health' to raise awareness of mental health issues that may affect medical students. Additionally, I will be celebrating the success and achievements of our lovely members at our ordinary meetings (the first being your amazing success of getting into Medical School!). On top of all of this, we will be allocating you a mentor from an older year to guide you through your studies. The infamous Mentor-Mentee night will be on Thursday 28th September - you don't want to miss this! You can contact me on the email [email protected], drop me a message on Facebook or say hi if you see me around! And of course, everything discussed will be confidential. I can not wait to meet you all, you are about to embark on the best year of your life, enjoy every second! Xxxx CAMILLA WILLIAMSON, LMSS WELFARE & DIVERSITY REP 2017/2018
