sitting alongside our existing relationship with the
London Irish Rifles of the London Regiment.
In terms of events organised by other companies I
have to say the Livery Hall Walk arranged by the
Environmental Cleaners was particularly good, as
was the Sheep Drive by the Woolmen, the expert
tour of the Houses of Parliament arranged by the
Framework Knitters and the humbling Big Breakfast
organised by the Hackney Carriage Drivers. I should
also mention the exceptional Annual Dinner of the
Yeoman Warders of HM Tower of London, to which
I was so kindly invited by our Beadle.
Finally, I would like to thank Kate, the Mistress, for
standing beside me in this special year - we have
been incredibly busy and worked so well as a team.
Kate will be writing separately about her year but I
have to say that the event she organised at The Clink
in HM Brixton Prison was just superb! My wife is
amazing!
My thanks also to all of you for putting up with me
for nearly (but not quite) a year!
It is an honour to represent this Worshipful
Company and I thank its members for the
opportunity.
