Scientists from University College Cork, supported by
the Irish Research Council, are working to safeguard
the sweeter things in life. The team have developed a
carbon neutral system to remotely monitor the status
of beehives, alerting beekeepers to disturbances in the
hive environment which could negatively affect the
health of the swarm.
