The TRUTH is

OUT THERE

I write paranormal because I’m fascinated with the unknown and because of the challenge. All writers know how essential a great sense of place is to good writing. Paranormal writing dares the author to take this element to a deeper level. I try to literally infuse the mood into the words.

I want my reader’s skin to crawl at evil’s hot breath, become confused and terrified in the darkness. I want their hearts to pound in their ears, the bile to march up their throats as cockroaches crawl up their pants legs. To sweat. To pray. Their bodies to ache from fighting the dragon. To look under their beds before going to sleep and to beware of all the things that go bump in the night.

Because, after all, the truth is out there. And it is darn scary.
