People cannot ignore the importance of these courses because these courses lay a foundation for every student’s bright future. General education courses are very beneficial and necessary for students in the United States in the modern world. General education plays the role of a stepping stone in a student’s professional life. It offers basic knowledge which acts as a foundation for future learning and future performance in a career. Nothing can be built without a foundation. If the foundation is weak, the structure of the building will automatically be weaker. In the article “How General Education Requirements Prepare You for Your New Career,” Grant Tilus, an education consultant who writes student-focused articles for Rasmussen College, emphasizes the importance of general education courses, saying they lead to later success for students in their career. He goes on to insist that “understanding these courses are critical and not just general is your first step in getting yourself prepared for a bright future.” Further, according to Yaroslav S.
