As the population of the world increases and the size of the world
seems to shrink, the world is becoming an increasingly competitive
place. To compete in this environment and stand out internationally,
general education is very necessary because it enhances overall
knowledge and versatility. Further, general education fosters in students
a sense of respect and tolerance, a sense of responsibility, a sense of
discipline, a sense of integrity, awareness of human rights, and respect
for human values. General education teaches different ways of thinking
and opens new perspectives. Overall, general education is the first step
on the staircase of success.
