my father had promised me the night before, so I gulped my
food down so fast I didn’t have time to enjoy the flavor. “So are
we still going for your first driving lesson today?” my father
asked. I nodded at him wide eyed and full of excitement. I was
supposed to have my first driving lesson with him after school
and I was dying to get behind the wheel of his big dark blue

I ran to my room to get dressed and ran equally as fast to
the bus stop. All the kids were bundled up with big jackets and

music to my ears. I leaped from my seat and sped off through
