YFU USA ALUMNI CHAPTERS
Who is a YFU USA
Alumna/us?
Any person who has been
touched by YFU USA to include
Americans who exchanged
overseas, international students
who exchanged in the USA or
who live in the USA, host
families and volunteers.
Mission Statement
To serve all who
have been touched by
YFU USA, and provide a
connection to the transformative
nature of cultural exchange
throughout one’s life.
Over the course of the next few years, YFU’s
Director of Alumni Engagement John Favazzo will
be working with alumni in major metropolitan areas
to begin YFU USA alumni chapters.
The guiding principal of YFU’s Alumni Chapters
will be to engage local alumni in the pursuit of
lifelong learning through connecting with, serving
and supporting the YFU community.
Alumni Chapter members will be given
autonomy to build their chapter and implement
programing based on the skills, interests, and
commitment of their community. If you are interested
in participating, please contact John directly at
[email protected].
WASHINGTON, DC AREA ALUMNI CHAPTER

organizational meeting. Over lunch at Carmine’s in the Penn Quarter section of DC, the group took some
time to get to know each other before discussing goals and expectations for the chapter, leadership roles,
and planning upcoming events.
