n March 9, over forty EPISD librarians had the wonderful opportunity to visit two recently built schools. One school was SISD's Purple Heart Elementary and the other was LCPS' Las Cruces high school. Several of EPISD's schools will be rebuilt since the bond passed this school year. The visiting librarians had a chance to see what is possible with new accomodations.
SISD welcomed us warmly and genorously as they provided coffee and breakfast. Also, the school principal and the superintendant, Dr. Jose Espinoza received and spoke to us. Their building

is impressive and their people are even more so. We look forward to continuing to work with them as lines of communication were opened.
The Las Cruces High School building was just as impressive. The library is amazing and the librarian was super helpful and answered many of the questions we posed.
The field trip allowed us to see the possibilities and helped build a great amount of comraderie among all librarians.
A special thanks to our Library Director, Armando Loera, for making it happen!
