ughey Elementary had a few great things happen on campus this month.
First, Mrs. Garite and Mrs. Benham’s 1st grade classes both enjoyed the “Once Upon a Tale” video conference hosted by The Bass Performance Hall. It was a great time as two storytellers gave their own account of some fairy tale classics like The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man. Best of all, it was done in both English and Spanish!
Another event that Hughey enjoyed was getting to meet local author Larry Phifer as he spoke to our eagles about his book “World on a String”. A special thank you goes out to Armando Loera at LLR for making our author visit possible! Thank you!
