Groundhog Day & Near Pod presentation

uerrero Elementary celebrated Ground Hog Day with an edited NearPod presentation in the Library. Collaboration magic happened with our campus ALL, Diane Ellis. Ms. Ellis presented the first lesson with our GT class in the library while I taught 2 more NearPod lessons. The students were hooked on the lesson. They were on pins and needles to find out what Punxsutawney Phil's prediction would be for this year . By informal voting, 75% of the classes were hoping for an early spring. We learned the historical context of Ground Hog Day, watched this year’s Punxsutawney Phil's prediction in Pennsylvania, and interacted on iPads. This was a great way to start introducing NearPod in the Library and engage the students in fun current events.
