ornament decorations

he library was decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree this month. Students participated in the optional activity of decorating a clear round ornament with a character from a favorite book. Jailynn Rascon was the grand winner for third to fifth grade. Her ornament was from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Alejandro Ochoa represented Kinder to second grade with Pete the Cat Saves Christmas.
A shout out goes to all students who brought in an ornament and helped make the library a welcoming place this holiday season. Thank you to Mrs. Ford, who is currently working on her library certification, for coming up with the idea!
Also, the Hawkins Book Fair was a great success! We will be able to purchase many books and other resources for the library with the proceeds from the sales.
