CDL Easter Egg Hunt
his year, our CDL had their annual Easter Egg Hunt right here in the Chapin Library. The kiddos came to the library dressed in their Sunday best and Easter bonnets, with their Easter baskets in tow. The little ones had a great time hunting for eggs on tables and chairs, and among the bookshelves. An “egg-citing” and “egg-cellent” time was had by all!
We ROCK!
This April, the Epic Proportions Concert Tour dropped by the Chapin Library for an epic lunchtime concert performance! Bands such as RACING ON THE SUN, EMPRA, and artist Gabe Kubanda, rocked out and played original tunes. Chapin students were singing, dancing and having an overall excellent live concert experience. After the bands played, they took time to sign autographs and take photos with their newest Husky fans. EMPRA singer and guitarist Sanny Veloo said, “We’ve NEVER played in a library before…this is REALLY cool!” Between sets, the musicians even checked out our graphic novel section, and perused the books. The band members also had an open question and answer forum with our Chapin guitar students where they discussed their musical equipment, how they got started in music, and tips on how to make it in the music industry. Yes, the Chapin Library knows how to ROCK!
