Remembering a Great Teacher Dr. Stephen R. Covey
It was my privilege to know Dr. Covey and have the opportunity to learn the wisdom of Principle Centered Leadership and the 7 Habits. He had made a great impact to my life, my family and our PacRim organization. It is our honor to represent FranklinCovey in Thailand since 2000. During the past 12 years, PacRim has delivered Dr. Covey’ s Principle Centered Leadership concepts to hundreds of thousands of leaders covering various disciplines from Prime Ministers, CEOs, Business Owners, Senior Government Officers, School Principles to
primary students. He enabled us to profoundly impact millions of lives in Thailand. These are part of his legacy to the world.
Recalling back to 1997, thank you to the financial crisis in Asia which in Thailand we called‘ Tom Yam Kung’ crisis. It gave me the opportunity to attend the 7 Habits workshop in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. It was an eye opening and life transformation experience for me personally. It was the first time I understood the real meaning of Pro-Activeness and Effectiveness.
I was convinced and deeply believed these timeless and universal principles of the 7 Habits will be able to help many people in Thailand to alter their mind-set and attitude to face the challenges from the economic crisis at that time and prepare them for the unpredictable future ahead.
